Domestic Front

15 March 2012

On the domestic front things gathered pace on the space called”Kitchen”. Feel like I have developed a coke habit without the highs as my nasal membranes are so irritated by dust.I don’t need to add cornflour to the cooking as the French plaster does a good job but has a strange effect on the bowels! 🙂

Wall studs are up along one side of the hallway, ceiling plaster boards are up, plasterer tomorrow, plumber for radiators tonight and everything else waiting on EON and the electricity company to sort out the 3 phase into single. All the local guys are spot on and ahead of the game but soon as a corporation gets involved everything stops.EON electricians supposed to be here today, now 5.20 and still waiting.Told by dispatch they are putting in a 3 phase meter.I told them they wouldn’t be allowed in the building if that’s their intention.

We can’t do anything until they sort out the mains box as hot water tank to be moved to that area vacated by unnecessary electric boxes and knocked through window and stud work due to go where tank is.

Kitchen designer this morning and all sorted.I’m actually genuinely excited! 🙂

A microwave returns to put a smile on daughter’s face and dad has an 18 bottle “drinks cooler” (not allowed to call it a wine cooler in the brochures these days because of “Drink Awareness”?)

New doors ordered and 2 cat flaps arranged in new positions, one external, one internal that will confuse the hell out of them for a while! 🙂

Add space for 30″ flat screen TV on wall and with the fridge and coolers close by the dining table and I have perfect footy watching environment.

Rest of my day phoning round band about the changing tour plans and making sure Calum was still available for the album recording in October.

Now “Field of Crows” mixes to listen to. 😉
