Return to Zielona Gora

27 February 2012

Video editing suite in Zielona Gora! Currently rendering footage.Feel like I have been rendered myself.Hanging about in a studio again and trying deperately not to smoke in that Pavlovian dog manner when I get trapped in small rooms with engineers and flickering screens.Footage looking reat but a hell of a lot of work to do this week.

Stunning version of “Lucky” intercut with reactions to watching the derby game on a pc. Very funny! Will definitely have to put a PG warning on this as the language is pretty bad! :-)Fine version of “Sugar Mice” from Piekary gig and wonderful back stage footage of Foss playing classical piano on an upright edited with autograph sessions.Journey here was Polish Wacky Races in a swinging, rolling Chrysler wagon that had trouble negotiating the depressions in the tarmac from endless caravans of trucks and tractors we suicidally overtook.

Worst “hot doggo” in the world at a garage stop.Like donkey dick in a hollowed out bread tube.Absolutely vile!

The hookers in the forest made for passing titillation as they stood on the roadside waiting on passing lonely truckers.Mostly Rumanian and Bulgarian I was told and mostly well dodgy. Not my idea of a romantic tryst by any means. They looked like they could handle any awkward situation and probably no strangers to razor sharp objects and automatic weapons. In the lonely forest environment I don’t know who would atually be in more danger, the clients or the painted ladies?

A train station with crisscrossing tracks and maze of sidings held a breathtaking selection of ancient steam trains, massive feats of engineering and construction billowing smoke as they puffed and manoevred around the railyard. It was a museum to send a boys heart racing and a man’s memories into the soft foam of nostalgia!

Now locked in here for 5 days trying to make sense of the footage and the songs.
It’s going to be a long movie, just hope we can get the pacing and the content balanced.Demanding project and concentration levels extreme.

At least the Murphy’s is only just over a pound a pint for the apres session libations!
