Decided to shut me down this weekend and try and chill a bit. My friend Phil got out of hospital sooner than expected and is now resting at home, he seems to be ok but can’t drive for a month.Bad week to be heading back to Poland for more editing tomorrow as I would have preferred to be around here. Shower finally fixed so no more water torture and studio alarms serviced.ADT charged me over 150 notes for 1.2 hours work!! Complaint going in! Told 110 for first 30 mins and 39 or so after for every half hour after that! Might retrain as an alarm engineer if the guy was actually paid that rate!The price of Fear!Chris Kimsey delivered mixes of “Exit Wound” and “Rookie”, sounding fabulous and very different.Not heard from the lab re the “Fellini” hard drive yet.
Missed out on the Moya Brennan gig last night as drove my friend back from hospital.Made up with Taz cooking dinner and baking an avalanche of blueberry muffins.Quiet night in.
Today check in for Ryan Air flight and get my mind locked into 5 days editing in Z Gora.Maybe listen to a couple of Fishheads recordings later.
Have to start focusing on the studio recording sessions which are coming at me hard and fast and in 3d.Only 2 weeks away and a lot of pressure on this session.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything just now and could do with some clones!
One to listen to the Fishheads live material, one to go over to Poland for the film editing, one to deal with all the new website and business matters that need pulled together and managed, one to deal with the garden and the house issues and one to get down the gym, go out hill walking and retrain at scuba diving.
Such is the life of the solo artist!
