Dear all,
Slightly false alarm on Septic tank filtration system as have to wait for 36hrs for sumps to fill and pumps to kick in. News that “bulb” slightly damaged and cutting down on volume a worry and hoping a replacement “mega bulb” not on the Summer to do list!
Serious shearing at Polish Barbers in town and seeing all the white hair hitting the deck made me feel a bit Count of Monte Christo!Maybe a bad move as news from Berlin is that it’s to be minus 20 over the weekend.Thermals, woolly hat and a hip flask methinks!Picked up sonic vermin deterrent for Tara’s room as it appears theres a mouse in the wall cavity who has taken a liking to her shoe collection.Added a trap that looks like evil plastic jaws with inbuilt bait.Should do the trick I hope. Had a bunch of mice under my shower tray in the bedroom a while back and the wee bastards kept me awake for a week.Came in from the outside wall via the water pipe.Concreted the feckers in and sorted it out!
Bad time of year for unwanted residents and cats on a work to rule it seems!
In a bit of limbo just now and trying to get motivated into accounts isn’t working.Can’t listen to anything on the hard drives yet as the wiring still hasn’t appeared to connect up the studio.
Parallel hard drive and recorder/player going into the new PC tomorrow so can download and listen to the stereo mixes and get some editing together I hope.
I need to hit that listening curve and get into the groove of selecting material.
Mark Wilkinson and Rob A up week after I get back from Poland for meetings on the Fishheads Club design and packaging with mark holding over to discuss the “Feast of Consequences” artwork ideas as they have to be built on over the coming months as well.
Bulgaria show with orchestra confirmed on 21st September.Been a bit shifty as my parents Silver Wedding anniversary was planned for that day and they moved it to the 22nd only yesterday. I’d told everyone concerned I had to be back for the 21st and the press announcement in Bulgaria today named that as show day.A slight panic but all now fallen somehow into place.6.30am flight home on the 22nd.Joy!!
Off to the cinema with Taz tonight to see “The Descendants” and get something to eat in the city.Been a while since we went to the movies together.
Berlin getting closer and need to get the tattered lyric book out tomorrow and have a listen to what we were doing last year to remind me what it was all about!
Hope the other F’s are doing a wee bit homework too!
Going to be strange climbing out onto a stage again for a couple of gigs!
