Dear all

Calmed down slightly past few days although still some mild aftershocks rolling in.

Yesterday was meeting with Scottish Power re getting the industrial electric supply toned down and removing the serious 3 phase that was installed to take care of a 56 channel desk, assorted tape machines, heavy duty amps and speakers etc in the studio area, an AC plant and fresh air delivery unit that used to be in the rear of the building and an entire complex. The engineers gaped when they opened the sliding doors.”Never seen anything like that before!”. To get it whittled down to just a couple of grey metal boxes could be a mission in itself and I have to have a visit from “tech services” to ascertain whether I get a 3 phase domestic box, another type of 3 phase meter or just cap the 3 phase head and usher in a heavy single phase and wire up 3 fuse boxes as relays with a standard domestic meter! Phew!!And all this came about because I was informed my existing meter was out of date and needed a replacement.Looking forward to meeting the guy from “Tech services”. I have an image of Tuttle from the film “Brazil”!! 🙂

While on the subject of utilities there’s a summit meeting on Monday at the septic unit when the engineer comes up to discuss ongoing problems with the filtration system and it’s combined with an emptying and washing down of the tank.An excuse for a wee picnic if the weather holds.

I have a deep inkling that this could be an exceedingly horrible kerching moment as there’s talk about the “bulb” being insufficient for “load” and a problem with the levels between elements of the system.Shit!!

Opened discussion with “the farmer” who owns all the land around us including a triangular sliver of less than 35 sq m in front of my house that I’d like to acquire to straighten out the boundary/build a wall/give me a couple of metres of extra parking as “wheelchair access” requires building a terraced drop to my front door allowing soft angled slopes that will take a bunch of space away from the existing car parking. The ground is just weeds and dust and if I get it the through road will look a lot better and the surface can be improved.Talk on phone/sent letter of explanation/ had “accidental” site meeting when he passed when walking dogs yesterday and currently waiting on a decision from him on my offer.
He is “thinking about it”. Hope to have answer by the Summer! 😉

Garden coming together slowly, fruit cage still horizontal and waiting on weed suppressing membrane to go under bark chippings “Chancy” and I decided on for floor covering.Greenhouse acquiring ranks of seed trays as the season moves ahead.Coverings on raised beds and tidying up beginning to show rewards.
Mild acceleration into Spring.

This weekend is clear the control room of as much debris and unwanted guff as possible before climbing into the attic for a gutting of space next week.

And in the background the sound of the Fishheads Club live material as I try and filter out the performances for the albums.

all part of the ever developing picture and everything has it’s place in the scheme of things,

must get out of my dressing gown now :-)))
