Due to the complexities of the new regulations that came into effect on 1st January we are still adjusting the mail order service and trying to come to terms with how it affects both the customer and ourselves with special regard to postal deliveries in the EU.
With VAT not now applied to the EU and local taxes payable by customers we don't know exactly how packages are delivered.'Tracked and signed for' to your door and payments made there or online pre delivery, or , do customers have to pay at their local post office? This has serious consequences and we are desperately trying to get answers to something that has a profound effect on the way we operate We are waiting on information from Royal Mail and trying to find a solution
I have decided to keep the mail order service and the office closed until Monday the 18th January so we can work our way through these issues and get back on line with a new system that is compliant with the new regulations and can deliver the quality service you expect from us.
We need to be able to answer your questions but at the moment we do not have the information either of us need. I could have opened up the shop for countries outside the EU and including the UK but we could have risked creating more problems in the long run and so decided for a complete shut down.
The postal services are a mess just now and particularly from the UK into Europe. They are still clearing the backlog from Christmas and I'm sure there are a lot of packages from here caught up in the piles of undelivered mail. Please be patient and add some extra understanding to the situation as there is nothing we can do here at present.Everything ordered before Christmas was sent out and people should have tracking numbers to use. It is taking an exceptionally long time for some packages to arrive compounded by the present circumstances in dealing with both the COVID lockdowns and the new Brexit regulations. Making Paypal claims on undelivered items just now is not helpful and I urge anyone to be a little bit more understanding and wait a bit longer as anything ordered from here has been posted. We have as much information on the whereabouts of a parcel as you do once it leaves here.
The situation is complicated just now but I ask you to give us a little more time to rebalance ourselves and adapt to these new regulations that have had a serious impact on our business.
I apologise for any inconvenience caused but you can trust that we will endeavour to get back up and running as soon as possible
Thank You again sincerely for all your patience and understanding and for your continued support
