Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering from us is simple. Find the product you want to buy and click the "Add To Basket" button. When you've finished adding to your basket go to the "Checkout”.


When you checkout for the first time, you will be asked to either create an account or to checkout as a guest. Setting up an account will make it quicker should you place further orders in the future and you will also receive special offers from the store from time to time. You can, of course, opt out for these mailings if you do not want to receive them.


When checking out as a guest, you have the option to enter your delivery address and optionally specify a different billing address.
 

Remember to carefully check the details you enter for your billing address. We ship worldwide and offer a variety of shipping methods as well as postage options that include insurance.

 

Please double check your billing and delivery addresses are correct. The main reason for non-delivery or slow delivery is an error in the address details - however good your postal service is none of them are able to deliver if your address is incorrect.

 

You will be able to pay through our preferred payment provider Stripe with your credit/debit card or via PayPal.

 

Once your order is received you will receive an email from sales@fishmusic.scot and an email from fusemetrix.com confirming your order. This does not mean you have double ordered

 


Check the confirmation email you receive carefully and email sales@fishmusic.scot if anything is wrong with your order or the shipping details. If you do not receive our order confirmation email please check your spam folders before emailing sales@fishmusic.scot. We shall re-send a copy to you.


Yes. fishmusic.scot uses SSL to ensure the protection of your personal data in transit. All payments are processed by external secure servers hosted by Stripe and PayPal. We do not receive or store any payment data or passwords.

If you have ordered Tracked and Signed for you will be sent a further email on processing of your order which will contain your tracking number. 


If an order is made without being optioned as being tracked and signed for we are unable to give you any further information on delivery status as once the package leaves our office it is under control of the postal services.


Pre orders will be processed sequentially i.e. earlier orders first. Please be patient as we have a small operation here and will be taking on temporary staff to help us process and mail out the accumulated pre orders. We will get the preorders out as fast as we can.


Please appreciate that we will be dealing with an exceptionally heavy workload from release date and that Covid-19 factors are in play with the postal services worldwide. This can mean that sometimes post is delayed and arrives a lot later than normally expected delivery times. We respectfully request your patience and to allow extra time for your orders to arrive. 


If you have a confirmation order then it is in our system and will be processed. Please do not send emails asking when your item has been sent out as all orders received will be processed as soon as possible.

All our shipping costs are carefully calculated taking into account the packaging required and the weight of the items ordered. Sometimes shipping costs may appear high, but please appreciate that items such as heavyweight vinyl and box sets are very heavy. 

 

You can see shipping costs in the basket and checkout. Here you will also see VAT/TAX subject to your location. Shipping costs and VAT/TAX are confirmed at checkout.

 

If you are ordering more than one item the shipping rate will automatically be updated. Ordering two or more items in one order sometimes means there’s a saving on shipping against placing individual orders if the overall weight of the package doesn’t exceed mailing limits. Some products have specially designed packaging and have to be sent individually to protect the item you are buying.

In these difficult times the postal services are maintaining social distancing and physical signing has been halted. They must still ensure the package is ‘presented’. However if no one is at home they are required to leave notification that a delivery was attempted and instructions on how to retrieve the package. If the package is not picked up by the customer at a designated post office depot or a delivery not rearranged and then the package is returned to us then we will contact the customer to arrange resending or refunding the package minus the original postage costs.

Pre-ordered items are always shipped separately as release dates can change. Shipping is calculated for each pre-order being sent separately. Please understand that we can’t combine pre-orders at all - it’s logistically impossible when our sole aim is to ship everything in a timely, safe and accurate manner.

All orders and pre-orders are charged at the time the order is placed.
All orders are priced in UK pounds sterling. Conversion is handled by the payment processor on all orders. Charges and exchange rates used by your payment card providers are outside of the control of the Fish Store.
As a UK company, we charge VAT to all UK and EU customers on physical products where applicable. Downloads are charged within the EU at the local VAT rate. We do not collect taxes for any other countries and you are liable for any import tariff incurred by your local customs system.

Yes. If you have any concerns about the postal services in your area we do suggest choosing an insured shipping option. Doing so can also speed up delivery times!

 

We very strongly recommend that you insure your order if you live in the following locations:

We will only be able to provide tracking numbers to customers who have chosen and paid for insurance. This will be sent automatically by email from us or our courier.

Regretfully due to the high volumes and our workload it is impossible to sign items and we cannot accommodate requests for autographs.

There are no downloads of ‘Weltschmerz’ available with any of the 3 formats available (Vinyl/ Standard/ Deluxe album). Downloads can be bought from third parties that have links that can be found on the website, no digital downloads will be offered directly from the Fish Store.
